NYA: Projects share effective practice

1 min read
The National Youth Agency, in partnership with the Beth Johnson Foundation, held a joint two-day Intergenerational Youth Learning network event in Mickleover, Derbyshire, recently.

Delegates from across the country, representing 15 organisations, came together to share effective intergenerational practice, provide learning opportunities to develop existing intergenerational programmes of work and establish and expand networking opportunities.

Event input came from Alan Hatton-Yeo and Louise Middleton from the Beth Johnson Foundation, Graham Fletcher and Peta Halls from the National Youth Agency, John Simmons, an older people champion, Jake Manning, participation lead for the NYA, and Katy Neilson and Ainee Foo from YouthBank.

"Feedback from participants was extremely positive, with all delegates gaining a clear understanding of intergenerational practice, the opportunity to reflect on their own work and gaining reassurance that they were on the right track," said Peta Halls.
