Part three of highlights from the National Youth Agency's annual monitoring report of validated programmes

Where are the newly qualified professionals employed?

The statutory and the voluntary youth service are the main employers of newly qualified students. This year's monitoring introduced a category for integrated youth support services, which accounts for nine per cent of the recorded employment destinations. Grant-funded posts have risen on last year.

Programme highlights

Ninety-six per cent of programmes were judged to be satisfactory or above, which is a six per cent rise on the previous year. There continues to be excellent examples of contemporary programmes offering innovative and high-quality learning. Strong support to students is an area of good practice across many programmes, helping those returning to learning or with additional needs to succeed in their studies.
