It provides residential care and education for more than 150 children and young people in 28 locations. It has a proven track record in improving education outcomes and re-integration in particular. Eight homes were rated "outstanding" by Ofsted, with the others all rated "good". Specialist services include work with vulnerable girls with attachment disorders, boys with emotional and behavioural difficulties and harmful sexual behaviours.
Where is it based?
The head office is in Blackpool, where the organisation was founded, but there are homes all over the country, including contracts with Bradford Metropolitan District Council and Coventry City Council. There are plans for new services in the South West and on the east coast and in September the first eco-friendly residential care and education service in the country will open in Uxbridge.
