Earlier this month, the Northern Ireland Council for Voluntary Action and the Community Workers Co-Operative laid out proposals for the design of a Peace III fund. This would continue financial backing for cross-community work.
In their report, Designing Peace III, the groups state: "There are still flashpoint zones and young people remain at risk of being drawn into violence.
It cannot be said that the social, economic, security and sectarian consequences of the Troubles have yet been fully undone."
They continue: "In the most pessimistic scenario, there is a danger of the conflict restarting ... because some young people are disaffected from a society that does not include them."
