Welsh MPs are leading a campaign to persuade Parliament to ban smacking, having voted overwhelmingly to outlaw the defence of "reasonable chastisement". Catriona Williams, chief executive of Children in Wales, said: "Wales knows what it wants but it is possible we will be prevented from implementing it."
