Street-based youth work is both under-valued and under-funded, despite evidence of its success, the Joseph Rowntree Foundation has found. A survey of youth work projects found that such projects had a positive impact on young people aged 13 to 19, but that many were limited by short-term, target-driven funding. www.jrf.org.uk.
