Northern Ireland and Wales are suffering from a major shortage of foster carers, the Fostering Network has revealed. Fresh from highlighting the shortage of 8,200 foster carers in England (Children Now, 1-7 September), the network says 350 carers are needed in Northern Ireland and 750 in Wales.
