More than 50 of Manchester's most inspirational school pupils were recognised for their achievements at the city council's fourth Manchester Educational Awards on Monday. Among those nominated by their schools was 14-year-old Meran Talaat from Cedar Mount High School, who acts as a peer mentor for new non-English-speaking pupils.
