A-levels and GCSEs are not expected to be scrapped as part of reforms to secondary education to be unveiled in the Government's education white paper, going against recommendations made by former chief schools inspector Mike Tomlinson. But new vocational qualifications of an equal standing to A-levels are likely to be introduced.
