CYP Now has learned of fears among practitioners that potential cuts to funding will mean job losses and a greater workload, resulting in less time spent preparing reports that could lead to a community sentence being imposed over custody.
Lorna Hadley, chair of the Association of Youth Offending Team Managers, said: "We share the concerns of our members. The difficulty we have is we just don't know how big the cuts are going to be."
