News Brief: Youth Justice Board concerned

The head of policy at the Youth Justice Board has repeated concerns that youth offending teams risk losing their unique function if they are subsumed into children's trusts (Children Now, 17-23 March). Brendan Finnegan told a conference that merging trusts and YOTs could lead to a return to the "disastrous" days when youth justice was the remit of social services.
