News Brief: Funding needed for child poverty

The Government must spend an extra 3.8bn if it is to halve child poverty by 2010, a report issued by Barnardo's today (23 May) reveals. The It Doesn't Happen Here report says without the money the Government will miss its target by 900,000 children. www.barnardos.org.uk.
