News brief: DfES says no changes to be made without consultation

No decisions have yet been made on changes to the formula that decides how much money local authorities receive for children's social services. Reports have suggested inner London boroughs could lose 200m in funding. The Department for Education and Skills said no changes will be made without consulting first.
