NCB's research department has been evaluating the initiative since 2002,when four places on the Board were created for members of Young NCB. Thereport looks at the impact of involving young people in the governanceof the bureau.
The evaluation found that having young people on the board had beensuccessful; one young member said that, "we bring a differentperspective on issues that affect us and policy that involves us."Catherine Shaw, assistant research director, commented: "Everyoneinvolved felt that the process had been really positive."
