Children in Scotland is holding a conference in September to reflect on the achievements and challenges of the past 10 years and question whether there is a need for new legislation.
Speaker Lord James Douglas-Hamilton MSP, the minister responsible for the Act, will reflect on its development while Kathleen Marshall, who lobbied on the Bill and is now Scotland's first commissioner for children and young people, will consider its success in promoting children's rights.
Children (Scotland) Act 1995: A tenth anniversary review, will take place on Friday 9 September at the Edinburgh Hilton Airport Hotel. Visit www.childreninscotland.org.uk/csa.
