NCB Now: Training focuses on children's needs

Two training courses being offered by NCB this summer aim to provide practitioners working with looked-after children with practical advice on making the care planning and review process child-centred.

Implementing an effective multi-agency approach to care planning will be the focus of a two-day course being held in London on 8 and 9 June. The course will also look at how to encourage child and parental participation.

A series of regional one-day courses targeted at Independent Reviewing Officers will run from June to September. Participants will have the chance to update their knowledge of the Adoption and Children Act 2002 and identify key research findings on placement stability.
