NCB Now: Quality Mark National Award

1 min read
The latest local authority to be awarded the National Youth Agency Quality Mark National Award is Sefton. The NYA's executive board has approved it for a three-year period finishing in November 2012.

Writing to the authority Fiona Blacke, NYA chief executive, said: "May I take this opportunity to congratulate you on achieving the high standard required in obtaining the Quality Mark National Award."

Heather Stevens, the NYA's director of programmes, will attend a celebration day at Sefton Youth Service on Saturday 27 February, where the award will be presented.

The NYA Quality Mark is based on core principles of quality, including reliability, consistency, customer focus, process assurance and commitment to continual improvement. The 11 standards support an organisation's development and improvement. By using the self-assessment framework organisations can check procedures and improve their quality, impact and outcomes.
