The Millennium Cohort Second Survey: A User's Guide to Initial Findingsprovides a comprehensive snapshot of the life of more than 15,000children and their families. Thirty per cent of families in Wales livebelow poverty line compared with the UK average at 26 per cent.

Children in Wales' Children & Young People's Research Network hosts acohort working group with a remit "to bring together expertise oflongitudinal and cohort datasets to support the development ofWales-based research." The group is developing an information sheetabout the various cohort or longitudinal datasets that areavailable.
