Fuel poverty project

Children in Wales is holding a launch event for its fuel poverty project, Keeping Warm this Winter - Hearing the Voices of Children and Young People in Tackling Fuel Poverty in Wales at the Senedd in Cardiff Bay on 9 February.

It is estimated that over 320,000 households are blighted by fuel poverty in Wales. It can have an immense effect on children's physical health, wellbeing and education.

Through the project, Children in Wales has consulted with children across Wales on the impact of fuel poverty and what can be done to reduce the problem. A DVD of the project will be screened at the event. This will coincide with a report and a resource on keeping warm in the winter.
