NCB Now: Member news - Highlights

Every year the NCB Library and Information Service publishes eight Highlights. These are available free to members, either by post or to download from the members' area of the NCB website. Members can download issues dating back to 1973, offering a valuable insight into the history of the children and young people's sector.

Highlights are written exclusively for NCB and are commissioned by leading experts in the field. In March, there will be two new issues: Sickle Cell and Thalassemia Disorders by Karl M Atkin and Elizabeth Anionwu, and Improving Outcomes for Young Children by Dr Joanne McDowell and Frances Lyons. Karl M Atkin is senior lecturer in ethnicity and health at the University of York and Elizabeth Anionwu is emeritus professor of nursing at Thames Valley University. Dr Joanne McDowell and Frances Lyons are research officer and senior research officer at NCB. The Highlights will be available in member updates soon and to download from the members' area at www.ncb.org.uk/members
