NCB Now: Improving outcomes though quality practice

1 min read
NCB is holding the third annual conference for the National Quality Improvement Network (NQIN), Quality Improvement Supporting Children's Wellbeing.

This one-day event introduces NQIN's 12 quality improvement principles to assist local authorities and national organisations in developing their own strategies.

Quality improvement strategies follow the requirements of the Childcare Act 2006, which places a duty on local authorities and their partners to improve outcomes for all children and reduce inequalities between them. These strategies also need to be in line with the principles of the Early Years Foundation Stage and Every Child Matters.

At this conference, early years practitioners and those working in the field of quality improvement will consider the developing role of quality improvement frameworks, principles and themes. Delegates will hear evidence on what works in improving outcomes for children and narrowing the gap for those who do less well.
