NCB Now: Improved services for disabled children

The Council for Disabled Children, based at NCB, has secured funding from the Department for Education and Skills for a project to improve services for disabled children from Black and minority ethnic communities.

Senior development officer Justin Simon will oversee the 18-month project, which aims to identify and disseminate examples of good practice in this area.

"By supplying service providers with practical solutions we hope to break down the barriers that prevent them engaging with disabled children from Black and minority ethnic communities and their families," he said.

- Professionals with examples of practice should contact Justin on 020 7843 6082.
