The Department for Constitutional Affairs has published a paperoutlining Government proposals to reform the provision of legal aid inEngland and Wales. This will affect proceedings relating to children incare, parents separating or divorcing, and proceedings relating to childprotection. www.dca.gov.uk
Facts and Figures on ... Ritalin
In 2004, 359,100 prescriptions were dispensed for Methylphenidate(Ritalin), a rise of 344,400 since 1995. It is estimated that around 90per cent of prescriptions were dispensed in the community to childrenunder 16 and to young people aged 16 to 18 in full-time education.
