National Youth Agency: Quality - NYA takes youth action theme toBournemouth

1 min read
Hard on the heels of its attendance at the political party conferences over the last few weeks The National Youth Agency has also been in Bournemouth for the National Association of Local Councils' (NALC) annual conference.

Entitled "Building the future of local communities", the three-day event - the largest event in the UK local community calendar - brought together more than 500 local council clerks, councillors and county officers to share experiences and learn about new developments in the sector.

Not having participated at this event before, The Agency was keen to talk to the delegates about young people and the issues faced in smaller local authorities. Both the exhibition stand and the popular workshop session took the theme of youth action and volunteering. Immediate feedback from delegates was welcoming and refreshing and many more subscribers to the Youth Action package were recruited.
