National Youth Agency: Online health learning tools launched

1 min read
New e-learning tools on young people's health will be launched by the National Youth Agency next month.

In a first for the agency, the launch will take place in cyberspace with an interactive broadcast at 11am on Friday 5 November.

NYA's national programme manager, Richard McKie will be introducing health-e and presenting the interactive broadcast session on the challenges of working with young people about their health direct to youth workers at their computers.

His presentation - which promises to be fun as well as informative - will be followed by an online discussion. Those taking part will only need to allow 20 minutes to get the most from the online broadcast. To register interest contact the agency at: www.nya.org.uk/health-e-online-learning-tools.

Instructions on how to log in and take part will be sent to those successfully registering nearer the time.

The e-learning tools are aimed at anyone working with young people who would like to know more about how to advise them on health issues.

Themes covered include healthy lifestyles, healthy relationships and sex, substance use and emotional wellbeing.
