Best Behaviour proposes that antisocial behaviour by and against young people can best be addressed by:
- Planning: taking a wider view to include education and prevention, as well as enforcement.
- Doing: building on public involvement and consensus, with extensive practice examples.
- Reviewing: demonstrating real outcomes for communities.
Aimed at Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnerships and their member agencies and organisations, including police forces, youth work agencies, local authorities, voluntary groups, schools and LEAs, Best Behaviour is based on real experience in a range of authorities in the West Midlands. It seeks to outline a set of guidelines and principles based on a review of practice that can demonstrate positive outcomes and consultation with young people on their perceptions and priorities.
