National Youth Agency: Money Mastery adds Liverpool date

1 min read
The National Youth Agency has added an additional date to its popular series of Money Mastery Meets the Benefits Trap events. This will take place in Liverpool on 20 May.

Money Mastery offers free one-day money coaching seminars for youth workers and other professionals working with young people. The Benefits Trap events have been developed as a response to frustration over how youth workers can help to motivate a young person to move into employment if they are only going to be £10 a week better off after 40 hours of work.

The course is structured to give practical tools and techniques aimed at helping, where appropriate, young people move from unemployment into work, training or education. Trainer Neil Almond said: "Those of us who have been working in the sector for any length of time know the impact that long-term unemployment can have on the lives of young people and the communities in which they live."
