An opportunity has arisen for a policy officer at the National Youth Agency.

Duties in the fixed-term post based at NYA offices in Leicester include summarising, analysing relevant legislation, policy and practice, and writing drafts of briefings. The post holder will also co-ordinate responses to policy initiatives and consultations; provide back-up on media scanning representing the views of the NYA. The full-time post runs to 30 June next year.

A second vacancy exists for an assistant business development officer. This is a permanent full-time post based in Leicester.

The agency's business development team is responsible for identifying and co-ordinating all new business activities. The role includes supporting the team by producing basic service level agreements; assisting with the processing of bids and consultancy proposals, and ensuring that deadlines are met. To succeed you will need to have an understanding of business development as well as excellent attention to detail, and good IT skills.
