Myplace: Apyco offers help with funding bids

The Association of Principal Youth and Community Officers (Apyco) has issued guidance notes for regions looking to apply for myplace funding.

Advice includes encouraging architects to build both upwards and downwards to maximise space, and making sure potential centres are accessible for people with disabilities.

"The aim of the document is to provide Apyco members and other interested parties with a set of questions to consider with young people, to assist them in making successful bids for funding," said an Apyco spokesperson.

The closing date for the first round of myplace funding is 30 September.
