Monday: Attended a very important meeting as part of a pre-launch to a national youth support scheme to empower young people in the area of business and education. Watch this space. I also receive confirmation that a project providing strategic mentorship for up to 14 young people and access to key decision-makers has been approved. Yippee.
Tuesday: It's the London Criminal Justice Board meeting and I'm pleased to hear a pilot programme called the Diamond Initiative is working well with its strategy of providing wrap-around support for young offenders. Rush off early to St Paul's Cathedral for a debate and then to Birmingham to speak at the National Regeneration Summit on the topic of "Broken Britain". Arrived late after the train was delayed when someone tried to commit suicide. It got me thinking: we must inject hope into our communities.
