Mission to unify social work: Ruth Allen, BASW chief executive

Adam Offord talks to Ruth Allen, chief executive of the British Association of Social Workers.

Ruth Allen took over from Bridget Robb as chief executive of the British Association of Social Workers (BASW) on 11 April.

You join BASW at a time when membership has risen 15 per cent (to 16,610) in the past year. Is this a result of The College of Social Work (TCSW) closing?
