Minister's question time: Margaret Hodge, Minister for children, young people and families

1 min read
Will you consider issuing a version of the pamphlet What To Do If You're Worried A Child Is Being Abused in a form that is designed for the voluntary sector?

The What To Do If You're Worried A Child Is Being Abused booklet is aimed at everyone working with children, young people and families, including people working in the voluntary sector.

The booklet helps people protect children more effectively by giving them a better understanding of what to do about any concerns they might have and, particularly, when to refer them to social services.

The booklet contains a short section on sharing information. This takes a new approach to information sharing as it steers people through the process of deciding whether to share information, and if so, what to share, with whom and why. It also provides people with the necessary references to locate more detailed guidance should they need further assistance.
