Richard Brook, chief executive of the charity, said the lack of any alternative treatments to replace the drugs would result in extra pressure on youth services.
"We are very disappointed that the Government has taken away a treatment option from young people and put nothing in its place," said Brook.
The department of health plans to stop using SSRIs (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors) to treat under-18s.
