Mental Health: Anorexia study gets under way

The five-year research programme, funded by the Department of Health, will be carried out by eating disorders organisation Beat, alongside the South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust and the Institute of Psychiatry.

A spokeswoman for Beat, formerly the Eating Disorders Association, said: "There is still so much to learn as statistics are out of date and there are gaps in finding the right treatment."
