Media: Internet radio project to interview MPs

1 min read

Internet radio network Radiowaves has already signed up Helen Goodman, Labour MP for Bishop Auckland, County Durham, who will be interviewed about healthy eating by a group of young people in February. The interview will then be available on the young peoples own online radio station, on the Radiowaves network.

Mark Riches, director of Radiowaves, said: We hope a group of young people from a healthy eating club run by ContinYou in Tyneside will be the first group to take part.

Radiowaves ran a separate event at the House of Commons last week in partnership with the Department for Consitituional Affairs (DCA) to present the results of a joint democracy project. Young people from Hertswood High School in Borehamwood came together in after-school sessions to set up a radio station and create programmes on voting and democracy, including interviews, online polls and raps.
