The High Court ruled against the council last week.
The council's leader, Conservative councillor Ray Puddifoot, said: "Weare extremely disappointed as we believe we have a strong case toreceive the full costs for supporting unaccompanied asylum seekers. Withthe world's busiest international airport in Hillingdon, we support moreunaccompanied asylum-seekers than anywhere else in the UK - currentlymore than 1,000."
London Councils, which has been calling for full funding for youngasylum seekers, said that it was unfair of the Government to shunt thesenational costs onto local councils.
