The forum, which is in charge of community involvement in the 2012 Olympic Games, plans to get a young person elected in each of the capital's 32 boroughs. The young people will help shape a programme of events in the run-up to the games and ensure young people's voices are heard on issues such as transport and regeneration.
Richard Sumray, chairman of the London 2012 Forum, said: "What's important is that we get as broad a representation of young people as possible. We want to see a committee made up of all the boroughs. An electoral process enables that to happen and enables accountability of the young people on the committee."
