Children in Scotland calls for universal access to quality services for children, comprehensive support for parents, an end to poverty for households with young children, a national play and leisure strategy, and making children's health a priority.
Bronwen Cohen, the chief executive of Children in Scotland, said: "We want to see Scotland not only catch up where we are behind but also begin to lead the way in innovative policies."
NCH Scotland is asking for action to eliminate child poverty, the end of detention for asylum-seeking children, the removal the legal right to smack a child, and for more support for young carers. The charity also wants an emphasis on health, family support and more opportunities for disabled young people.
