Letters: Yes to bin bags

I am a kinship foster carer. Therefore my children are unlikely to ever move from one placement to another but I just could not imagine how I would cope with the amount of possessions without using bin bags and what is so wrong with them anyway (Children Now, 16-29 August)?

There is so much hype over this issue and it's mostly initiated byadults making children feel bad about them. In our situation I could notimagine how many bags or suitcases would be required. It would beridiculous.

After all when we moved house we used numerous bin bags in the move andwe did not class our possessions as "rubbish". It was just a convenientway of moving many items.

For heaven's sake be realistic and stop making such a fuss. Get thechildren to decorate the bags if they don't like them but this hype isabsolutely stupid. Teach these children to be practical. I say yes tobin bags, even if one suitcase is used as well just to look good.
