Letters: Care will cause displacement

The intention of wraparound care within a school setting is well-meaning and supposedly supportive of working families and those with limited means of income.

But, as with adults, children respond to their environment. Whatever they are engaged in we all need to recharge batteries in a new and fresh environment.

If wraparound care becomes commonplace, children in already displaced families will become more displaced and frustrated.

Children in vulnerable situations, both in homes and schools, will experience behavioural patterns that could be destructive and lasting.
