Conflict in Sudan has forced around four million from their homes: over half a million have fled, mainly to neighbouring countries. Only a fraction, around 930 Sudanese, applied for asylum in the UK last year. People aren't choosing to leave - they're choosing to live. Faced with the prospect of death, rape or torture, millions flee their homes every year.
