Lambeth council is increasing the number of youth workers on its Positive Activities for Young People project from six to 10. The scheme has helped about 800 young people since 2001. It currently supports 120 young people aged eight to 25 who are at risk of getting involved in gangs or who are vulnerable in other ways, with the number set to increase to 200 by the end of the year.
