Inquiry begins into youth work

Youth Work
The education select committee is due to hear evidence from young people and youth organisations about the importance of services for young people from this week.

The committee is holding an inquiry into the role of universal services such as youth clubs and cultural activities for young people, and targeted youth services for vulnerable groups.

The committee is due to hear evidence from 26 January until March. It will then produce a report based on its findings in the spring. The British Youth Council and UK Youth are among the organisations invited to speak at the inquiry.
