She was woken by a noise at 2am and found the burglar in the kitchen. "But Chloe did not panic and calmly told violent Dean Affleck, 18, to: 'Put my Daddy's car keys down'," said the paper. "He threatened her with the cleaver and told her to get back to bed but accidentally smashed a glass which roused Chloe's parents." Her dad tackled Affleck, who was arrested.
Chloe remained unfazed by the experience and delighted in telling everyone at her Middlesbrough school. "I told my teacher I had found a man in the house and I told him to put my daddy's car keys down," she said. "Everyone says I was very brave."
