All children's trust partners, including local authority children's services, should now be working to a clear plan for children, generally called a Children and Young People's Plan. This will set out an area's aspirations for its children, their needs and the services that will be delivered to meet those needs, and should form the basis of a joint commissioning strategy.
Make sure all partners and stakeholders are working to the same, agreed commissioning cycle. Some partners, such as those in health, have very different timescales to local authorities and other sectors.
