Ella Fordyce, aged 21 months, reveals a flair for abstract art during a messy play group at The Acorn Centre in Peterborough.

She was among children who relished the chance to have fun with paint, water, jelly and play dough. The session was among a number of holiday activities laid on for families from Dogsthorpe, Parnell and Welland at the centre, which is part of the First Steps Children's Centre.
