Housing: Shelter unveils help for youth workers

The web site and wallchart give information to help young people who may be on the verge of homelessness.

Tracy Riddell, partnership development manager for young people at Shelter, said: "When we ran focus groups with youth workers, it was clear that they lacked confidence in giving advice to young people on housing issues, or didn't know where to get information."

The site offers help including how to challenge local authorities over housing decisions. Currently at pilot stage, it will launch on 12 February.
