Hit or diss?

1 min read
Strictly Come Dancing? DISS. Strictly Come Dancing on BBC One gets a diss because it clashes with The X Factor on ITV1. Being a teenager, I think ballroom dancing is for the over-50s. Granted, they wear pretty frocks, but I find it all very boring.

Apprenticeships? HIT. These are a good idea, especially for young people like me who have a disability, as they give us the opportunity to show employers exactly what we are capable of. Just because we use a wheelchair doesn't mean we lack ambition. I'd like to see more apprenticeship opportunities.

The Conservative Party? DISS. All politicians - whatever the party - are not in touch with the people they represent. Many young people aren't interested in politics because politicians don't seem to be addressing the issues that are important to us, such as university fees, knife crime and unemployment.

Banning sweets and chocolates? DISS. Every girl needs her chocolate fix. How could you ban something that is so good for you? Bad behaviour is not down to sweets and chocolates; it's down to poor social conditions and life chances.
