The charity, established in 1911, funds three-year posts for specialist health professionals, including pharmacists, speech therapists, occupational therapists, radiographers, doctors, nurses, and paediatric professionals.
It also runs 54 local Cancer Information and Support Centres, which are open to the public, and provides a small grants programme for self-help and support groups.
In addition to signposting publications and organisations that work with children with cancer, it has also launched a teen-friendly web site. Why Bother? informs young people about cancer.
