Whipping up a fruit smoothie, giving massages to stressed-out pupils, making t-shirts bearing health slogans and producing a cookbook full ofhealthy recipes are just some of the business ideas that the childrencame up with. The children presented their plans to a panel of business, health and education experts last Wednesday (12 July).

A group of children from Rhyl Primary School, who came up with the ideaof selling fruit smoothies at lunchtimes, won the prize of 250. Acouncil spokeswoman said: "Their market research was very good and theydid taster sessions with their classmates and came up with salesinitiatives such as buy one, get one free. They plan to spend the moneyon buying a blender and start-up costs so they can start it up as abusiness."
